Sterling Silver & Turquoise Belt Buckle, Genuine Half Dollar Vintage Coins

Sterling Silver & Turquoise Belt Buckle, Genuine Half Dollar Vintage Coins

1940’s Native American Indian sterling silver oval belt buckle with turquoise gemstones and a snake design. This collectible sterling silver buckle is attached to a 39-inch brown leather belt adorned with 16 genuine US Walking Liberty half dollar coins, including one from 1918 and 1920. In addition, there is a Mercury dime from 1941. The Walking Liberty design is heralded as one of the best designs to ever grace a US coin and is 90% fine silver. First minted in 1916 to 1947, this coin was around during some of the most iconic periods of American History. On the back side of the Walking Liberty coin (and facing front on the belt) is an eagle with wings stretched.

This one-of-a-kind Western cowboy belt buckle has the initials JB engraved on the back side. The coins are affixed with a screw and are movable. We are uncertain whether the two empty holes at the end of the belt are for moving the coins to adjust the belt size or if two coins are missing. The "length" of the belt is 39" which should fit a size Medium, 34-36 waist, or size 32 by cutting the leather belt to size. If the belt doesn't fit you, the coins and buckle can be removed and attached to a another belt and spaced to your liking!

Condition: Used. Previously loved. Both the belt and buckle show normal usage wear, including scratches which can be buffed out, if desired. The dark patches are reflections from the room’s lighting and are not visible on the buckle, which is a bright, shiny silver. Several of the genuine turquoise stones have been refurbished, removing chipped or pitted areas. Overall, this 80-year-old belt is in very good condition and you will enjoy showing it off for many years to come. Buy it for yourself of someone you love!
